NHL roundup: Flyers extend win streak under Shaw, Devils and Flames prevail in shootouts

On Monday, the NHL featured a modest four-game lineup, with the Philadelphia Flyers unexpectedly stealing the spotlight by securing their third consecutive victory under newly appointed head coach Brad Shaw.
Despite being outshot 29-18, the Flyers extended their winning streak with a 2-1 triumph over the Nashville Predators.
Ryan Poehling (11) and Jamie Drysdale (7) each found the net, while rookie standout Matvei Michkov contributed assists on both goals.
The Flyers now hold a record of 3-0 under Shaw, with only six games left in the season.
In another matchup, the New Jersey Devils edged the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in a shootout, marking their second consecutive victory against the Wild.
Nico Hischier (34) initially put the Devils ahead 2-1, but Matt Boldy (25) equalized for the Wild, forcing the game into overtime, where neither team scored.
Ultimately, Paul Cotter and Jesper Bratt secured the win for New Jersey by scoring in the shootout.
Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames staged a comeback against the Colorado Avalanche, winning 3-2 in a shootout after trailing 2-0.
Ryan Lomberg (2) and Adam Klapka (3) both netted goals in the third period, pushing the game into overtime.
Following a scoreless overtime period, Yegor Sharangovich netted the decisive goal in the shootout, marking Calgary's fifth victory in their last seven games.
