NHL roundup: Islanders hand Kings their first away loss of the season

The Islanders mounted an impressive comeback in the third period, erasing a two-goal deficit. Anders Lee found the back of the net twice, and Pageau sealed the deal with a backhanded breakaway goal. This victory extends the Islanders' point streak to 11 out of their last 12 games, with a record of 7-1-3. Goaltender Ilya Sorokin played a crucial role, making 34 saves to secure the win.

In a matchup between the Canadiens and the Sabres, Montreal came out on top with a 3-2 shootout victory. Cayden Primeau had an outstanding performance, making a career-high 46 saves and stopping two of four shootout attempts. Jayden Struble and Nick Suzuki scored in regulation for the Canadiens, while Juraj Slafkovsky sealed the win in the shootout. Victor Olofsson and Owen Power scored for the Sabres in the shootout, but Primeau's save on JJ Peterka set the stage for Slafkovsky's game-winning goal.
Jeff Skinner and Kyle Okposo found the back of the net during regulation, while Devon Levi stood tall in net with 29 saves for the Sabres. Unfortunately, Buffalo has struggled recently, dropping five out of their last six games.
In a matchup between the Bruins and Coyotes, David Pastrnak's impressive performance of two goals and an assist helped Boston secure a win against Arizona. Charlie Coyle, Kevin Shattenkirk, and Danton Heinen also contributed to the scoring for the Bruins. The Devils faced off against the Flames, and it was a second-period surge that propelled New Jersey to a 4-2 victory. Kevin Lankinen made 33 saves for the Predators, who, despite winning their last three games and nine of the past 11, faced a 4-0 defeat.
