NHL roundup: Kings' shutout brings an end to Isles' winning streak

David Rittich, in his first game since February 26, saved all 26 shots on goal during Monday night's match for the Los Angeles Kings, who defeated the New York Islanders 3-0.
Rittich, who had been benched for the previous six games in favor of Cam Talbot, achieved his second shutout of the season. He made 26 saves in a 4-0 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on February 10.
Adrian Kempe, Philip Danault, and Trevor Moore scored for the Kings, propelling them to sole possession of third place in the Pacific Division. They now sit two points ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights.
Ilya Sorokin made 22 saves for the Islanders, but their six-game winning streak came to an end.
In the Rangers' game against the Devils, Jonathan Quick made 19 saves and New York scored two goals in the final eight minutes of the second period to secure a victory.

In the Blues' game against the Bruins, Kasperi Kapanen had a standout performance, matching his career high with three points. He contributed a goal and two assists to lead St. Louis to victory.
St. Louis ended a three-game losing streak and scored more than three goals for the first time in nine games. Goalie Joel Hofer made 36 saves to secure the win.
Despite David Pastrnak's 41st goal of the season and 17 saves by Jeremy Swayman, the Bruins' four-game point streak came to an end.
