NHL roundup: Knights make it two consecutive road wins over Dallas

The Vegas Golden Knights secured another victory on the road against the Dallas Stars, with Jonathan Marchessault and Jack Eichel both contributing a goal and an assist.

This win gives Vegas a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference first-round playoff series. They will now return home for Game 3 on Saturday.

In addition to Marchessault and Eichel's contributions, Noah Hanifin also scored for Vegas, while Logan Thompson made 20 saves. This victory extends Vegas' winning streak against the Stars to six games, dating back to Game 6 of the 2023 Western Conference finals.

Dallas managed to score one goal, courtesy of Jason Robertson, but it wasn't enough to overcome Vegas' dominance. Stars goalie Jake Oettinger made 23 saves in the game.

The Kings defeated the Oilers 5-4 in overtime, with Anze Kopitar scoring the game-winning goal to even the first-round Western Conference playoff series at one win each.

Adrian Kempe scored twice, while Drew Doughty and Kevin Fiala added one goal each for Los Angeles. Cam Talbot made 27 saves, and Quinton Byfield contributed two assists, including one on the game-winning goal.

On the other hand, the Bruins secured a 4-2 victory over the Maple Leafs, with Brad Marchand scoring the go-ahead goal in the third period. Marchand also scored an empty-net goal, and assisted on Jake DeBrusk's power-play goal.

Trent Frederic also scored for Boston, while Jeremy Swayman made 28 saves. Matthew Knies and Tyler Bertuzzi scored for Toronto, with Mitch Marner registering an assist. Ilya Samsonov stopped 30 shots for the Maple Leafs.
