Igor Shesterkin, who secured his fourth consecutive victory, showcased his 23rd win by executing a remarkable left pad save on Jamie Benn with approximately six minutes remaining.
He then dove across the crease to deny Tyler Seguin's attempt just before the puck crossed the red line. Shesterkin further preserved the one-goal lead by executing a split and making a sprawling glove save on Wyatt Johnston with 2:34 left in the second period.
Adam Fox and Kaapo Kakko found the back of the net to propel the Rangers to their eighth consecutive win, marking their longest winning streak since securing nine victories in a row from October 25 to November 15, 2015. Vincent Trocheck sealed the victory with an empty-net goal at 1:41 left in the third period.
Miro Heiskanen scored a power-play goal for Dallas as they suffered their third consecutive defeat (0-1-2) and dropped to a record of 12-4-3 in their last 19 games. Goaltender Scott Wedgewood made 23 saves to keep the Stars in contention for the win.
