NHL roundup: Red Wings extend win streak with five unanswered goals, Canucks dominate Blues

On Monday, the NHL featured a limited schedule of five games, during which both the Detroit Red Wings and Vancouver Canucks achieved victories with five goals, extending their respective winning streaks.
The Los Angeles Kings initially took a 2-0 lead, courtesy of goals from Kevin Fiala (16) and Quinton Byfield (11). However, the Red Wings mounted a strong comeback, scoring five consecutive unanswered goals to secure their fourth consecutive victory.
Lucas Raymond (20), Alex DeBrincat (21), and Elmer Soderblom (1) netted the first three goals, followed by Marco Kasper (9), who contributed the final two, culminating in a 5-2 triumph.
The Kings have now suffered two consecutive losses and have won only one of their last five games. Detroit's record stands at 9-5 for the season, while the Kings are at 5-6.
In another matchup, the Canucks defeated the Blues 5-2. Conor Garland (12) opened the scoring for Vancouver with two goals in the first period, followed by a goal from J.T. Miller (9) to begin the second period.
Dylan Holloway managed to get the Blues on the scoreboard, but the teams traded goals until Tyler Myers (3) sealed the game with an empty-net goal, marking Vancouver's second consecutive win.
St. Louis is currently facing difficulties, having lost three straight games and four of their last five. Both teams hold a record of 5-8 since the start of the new year and are scheduled to meet again on March 30th.
In the matchup between the Flyers and the Devils, Philadelphia surged to a 3-0 lead early in the game, with goals from Bobby Brink (7), Joel Farabee (8), and Garnet Hathaway (7). New Jersey fought back with two goals from Dougie Hamilton (8) and Timo Meier (15).
However, Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson delivered an impressive performance with 31 saves, while Scott Laughton (10) added an empty-net goal to secure a 4-2 victory for Philadelphia.
