Lucas Raymond and Patrick Kane both found the back of the net during the shootout, securing a thrilling 7-6 victory for the Detroit Red Wings against the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday.

Detroit snapped a four-game losing streak with a strong performance from Kane, who scored two goals and provided an assist. DeBrincat also had a notable game with three assists. On the other side, Laughton contributed a goal and an assist for Philadelphia, despite their second straight loss.

During the shootout, Red Wings goalie James Reimer made a crucial save, causing Couturier to shoot wide left and Brink to miss the net.

Although the Flyers were trailing 5-1 after the first period, they managed to score five consecutive goals, taking a 6-5 lead with just over five minutes remaining in the third period. However, Detroit's Larkin tied the game with 4:30 left on the clock.

In another game, the Oilers defeated the Rangers 4-3 after mounting a third-period surge. Hyman, Kane, Foegele, and McLeod all scored within a seven-minute span, securing the victory for Edmonton. The Oilers had previously overcome a one-goal deficit against the New Jersey Devils, winning 6-3 with four third-period goals. Foegele and McLeod also contributed assists in the game against the Rangers, while Skinner made 31 saves for the Oilers.

The Rangers, who had a three-game winning streak, saw it come to an end with the loss. Wheeler, Zibanejad, and Cuylle scored for New York, with Zibanejad also providing an assist. Kreider had two assists, and Quick made 24 saves.

In a dominant performance, the Jets defeated the Bruins 5-1. Vilardi continued his impressive scoring streak, recording a goal and an assist for the fifth consecutive game. Niederreiter scored twice and added an assist, while Morrissey and Lowry also found the net for Winnipeg. Scheifele contributed two assists, and Hellebuyck made 24 saves. Carlo scored the lone goal for the Bruins, and Swayman stopped 28 shots.

Montreal staged an impressive comeback against Chicago, rallying from an early two-goal deficit to win 5-2. Suzuki, Slafkovsky, and Savard each had a goal and an assist for the Canadiens.

Chicago suffered their fifth loss in the last six games, despite goals from Ryan Donato and Jason Dickinson. Petr Mrazek, the Blackhawks' goaltender, made an impressive 23 saves throughout the game.
