Nick Kyrgios set to make his comeback at the Australian Open

Kyrgios withdrew from this year's Australian Open and has participated in only one singles match over the past two years due to ongoing knee, foot, and wrist injuries.
During his extended time away from competitive play, Kyrgios has engaged in television and broadcasting roles; however, recent social media posts indicate his intention to resume his playing career by the end of the year.
"Nick will be back," Tiley remarked during an interview with Australia's Channel Nine TV on Thursday while promoting the tournament he has overseen for nearly twenty years.
"We are aware that he is practicing and preparing for the summer. He enjoys competing in Australia. We expect to see him return, and we know he is on track with his preparations."
The skilled Australian player has consistently been a significant attraction at the Australian Open, garnering enthusiastic support from local fans, despite having reached the quarter-finals only once in 2015.

Kyrgios made it to the second round in his last singles appearance at Melbourne Park in 2022, where he was defeated in four sets by eventual finalist Daniil Medvedev.
He subsequently advanced to the Wimbledon final and reached the quarter-finals at the US Open before a series of injuries began to affect his performance.
Tiley had previously expressed optimism about Kyrgios's return for this year's Australian Open and added a caveat on Thursday when asked about the certainty of the former world number 13's participation when the Grand Slam commences on January 12.
"A lot can happen in the next couple of months, but we are looking forward to seeing Nick back," he concluded.
