Nicolas Jackson signs new contract extension until 2033

Chelsea's Senegalese forward, Nicolas Jackson, aged 23, has officially signed a two-year contract extension on Friday, ensuring his presence at Stamford Bridge until 2033.
Head coach Enzo Maresca had previously indicated this season that Jackson had reached an agreement in principle to prolong the eight-year contract he initially signed upon his transfer from Villarreal in 2023.
The Premier League club has now finalized the agreement, announcing on Friday: "Chelsea is pleased to confirm that Nicolas Jackson has signed a two-year contract extension, extending his stay until 2033."
Jackson joined Chelsea in late June 2023 and had a commendable first season at Stamford Bridge, scoring 17 goals in all competitions, which included a notable hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
This season, Jackson has already netted two goals in four matches as he aims to recover from a challenging inaugural season with the club.
"I am feeling very good and am thrilled to sign a new contract to remain at the club," he stated.
"It is wonderful to know that the club has faith in me. I am putting in a lot of effort. I am very pleased to extend my contract and remain here for many years to come."
Jackson began his professional journey with the Senegalese club Casa Sport before transferring to Villarreal in 2020.
His breakout season at Villarreal occurred in 2022/23, where he scored 13 goals in 38 matches across all competitions and earned a spot in Senegal's squad for the 2022 World Cup.
