Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool: Darwin Nunez stoppage-time winner earns Reds narrow win over Forest

Liverpool extended their lead to four points at the summit of the Premier League following a late goal by substitute Darwin Nunez, securing a thrilling 1-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest. This victory marked their sixth win in the last seven away league fixtures under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool arrived at the City Ground with great confidence, having achieved five consecutive victories in all competitions. The match started off at a fast pace, with the hosts coming close to scoring twice within the first 20 minutes.
First, Divock Origi, a former Liverpool player, narrowly missed the target with a powerful long-range shot. Shortly after, Caoimhin Kelleher made a crucial save to deny Anthony Elanga in a one-on-one situation.
Although the beginning of the game was disjointed, Liverpool gradually improved as the first half progressed. Luis Diaz was unfortunate not to score from close range due to an excellent last-ditch block by Murillo.
Both teams continued to search for an opening goal as halftime approached, but clear-cut opportunities were scarce. The score remained level at the break.
Liverpool started the second half with a strong attacking mentality. Andy Robertson came close to giving the visitors the lead, but his strike from inside the box deflected wide of the post.
In an attempt to maintain their momentum, Klopp introduced Nunez into the game in the 60th minute. However, it was Forest who wasted a glorious chance to take the lead, as Elanga's first-time effort went wide of the target.
The match remained evenly poised as the final 15 minutes approached. After sustained pressure from Liverpool, they finally found the breakthrough in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
Nunez headed home from Alexis Mac Allister's delivery, securing three crucial points for the visitors as they aim to end Jurgen Klopp's tenure with more silverware.
