Nottingham Forest appoint Nuno Espirito Santo as new manager

Forest have announced the appointment of the former manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur, Nuno, after parting ways with Cooper due to a series of defeats. This decision was made as Forest slipped to 17th place in the table, just five points above the relegation zone.
According to a statement from the club, Nuno has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract and will lead the team in his first match against Bournemouth at The City Ground on Saturday.
The new head coach will begin his tenure by conducting his first training session with the squad this morning, as they prepare for their upcoming Premier League fixture on Saturday.
Nuno, who previously spent four seasons at Wolves, played a crucial role in their promotion to the Premier League during his first season with the club. He then moved on to manage Tottenham Hotspur in June 2021, where he initially enjoyed success with three consecutive victories. However, a string of five losses in seven games led to his replacement by Antonio Conte.
Following his departure from Spurs, Nuno took charge of Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad and guided them to their first league title in 14 years. Unfortunately, he was sacked in November after a run of five winless league games.
