Nottingham Forest appoint Vítor Pereira as head coach on 18-month deal

Nottingham Forest F.C. have confirmed the appointment of Vítor Pereira as their new Head Coach on an 18-month deal running until the summer of 2027. The 57-year-old arrives at the City Ground with extensive experience across Europe, Asia and South America.
Trophy success across Europe
Pereira began his managerial career in Portugal in 2002 before rising to prominence with FC Porto. During a highly successful two-year spell starting in 2011, he guided Porto to back-to-back Primeira Liga titles.
He later enjoyed silverware in Greece with Olympiacos F.C., winning the league and cup double after taking charge in January 2015. Pereira has also managed Fenerbahçe S.K. and led Shanghai SIPG F.C. to their first-ever Chinese Super League title in his debut season, before adding the Chinese Super Cup.
In Brazil, he had spells with Sport Club Corinthians Paulista and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, further broadening his experience at elite level.
Premier League impact with Wolves
Most recently, Pereira was Head Coach of Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C..
Taking over with Wolves in the relegation zone during the 2024/25 season, he oversaw a remarkable six-game winning run — the longest by any Premier League side that campaign — as the club secured survival. Wolves also recorded a club-best goal tally in a single Premier League season under his leadership.
