The NBA fined Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray $100,000 for throwing a towel and a heating pad in the direction of an official during a playoff game this week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Murray was not suspended for the incident, which happened during the Nuggets' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday. The reigning champions, Denver, lost the game.
Joe Dumars, executive vice president and head of basketball operations for the NBA, announced the fine in a news release.
Minnesota, who lead the best-of-seven Western Conference semi-finals series 2-0, will host Game 3 on Friday.
