Osasuna 2-4 Girona: Girona reclaim top spot with thrilling comeback win

Girona returned to the top of LaLiga with a 4-2 comeback win away at Osasuna on Saturday, thanks to Artem Dovbyk's goal and two assists, moving the club three points clear of Real Madrid.

Girona took the lead after a beautifully constructed counter-attack launched near their corner flag by Savio and ended with Dovbyk eventually crossing it to the far post for Ivan Martin to score.

Ante Budimir equalized for Osasuna after goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga parried a shot, and the Croatian forward fired home. He then scored his second goal 10 minutes after the restart with a well-directed header.

But Dovbyk was not finished, as he headed home the equalizer at the far post before setting up Viktor Tsygankov for their third goal in the 80th minute. Aleix Garcia scored in the 90th minute to secure the three points.

Real Madrid, who defeated Girona earlier this season to hold the advantage in their head-to-head record, can reclaim first place if they defeat Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
