Osimhen scores first Champions League hat-trick as Galatasaray cruise past Ajax

Victor Osimhen delivered a stunning performance on Wednesday night, netting his first-ever Champions League hat-trick as Galatasaray cruised to a 3-0 win over Ajax in Istanbul.

The Nigerian striker opened the scoring in the 59th minute with a towering header before confidently slotting home a penalty in the 66th minute. He completed his treble just 12 minutes later, again from the spot, sealing a dominant victory for the Turkish champions.

It was another night to remember for Osimhen, who has been in devastating form in Europe. The 26-year-old Super Eagles star has now scored 12 goals in his last eight Champions League appearances for Galatasaray.

His performance against Ajax follows his brace in the previous matchday, where the Istanbul giants defeated Bodo/Glimt 3-1, and his winning strike against Liverpool in matchday three.

The result marked Galatasaray’s third consecutive win in the competition, further strengthening their push for a place in the knockout stages.

Osimhen’s hat-trick also cements his status as one of Europe’s most clinical forwards this season, with his combination of power, precision, and poise proving unstoppable.
