Parma 3-1 Lazio: Hosts deliver stellar performance to stun title challengers
Parma achieved a significant victory over Lazio, triumphing 3-1 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, marking their first win against the visitors in 15 encounters. This result hampers Lazio's position in a tightly contested title race.
The match began with Lazio seemingly taking the lead when Nicolo Rovella scored a stunning long-range goal within the first two minutes; however, the goal was disallowed due to a foul in the lead-up.
Contrarily, it was Parma who struck first just four minutes later, as Dennis Man capitalized on a rebound to find the corner of the net from within the penalty area.
Given that Parma had only lost one of the previous 24 matches in which he scored, this early goal served as a positive sign for the underdogs.

Following this setback, Lazio appeared disheartened, but after Suzuki made yet another exceptional save to deny Loum Tchaouna, the Japanese goalkeeper was finally breached with just nine minutes remaining. Castellanos scored by converting a rebound into the bottom corner after the ball fortuitously fell to him in the area.
Ultimately, Parma sealed their victory in stoppage time, as Enrico Del Prato created space for himself in the box and calmly finished into the bottom corner.
As a consequence of this defeat, Lazio remains in fifth position, ending their prior unbeaten streak of eight matches across all competitions. In contrast, Parma has ended a five-match winless streak at home, achieving only their second victory in 12 matches in total across all competitions.
