Premier League Christmas Schedule: Liverpool meet Arsenal, Wolves play Chelsea on Xmas Eve

The Premier League's schedule includes a Christmas Eve match after a 28-year hiatus, where Wolves will host Chelsea. This decision marks a busy festive period, with several matches lined up.

Boxing Day features numerous games, starting with Newcastle's clash against Nottingham Forest in the early kick-off. Two more matches follow at 3pm, and later in the day, Liverpool will visit Burnley at 5.30pm, while Manchester United will host Aston Villa at 8pm.

Due to their Christmas Eve fixture, Chelsea will not participate in Boxing Day matches this year. Instead, they will host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on December 27 and then travel to face Luton three days later.

On Boxing Day, North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham will have a break but will return to action on December 28. Arsenal will face West Ham at the Emirates, and Tottenham will head to Brighton.

One of the most anticipated fixtures of this schedule is the December 23 matchup between Liverpool and Arsenal.

Regarding this decision, the Chelsea Supporters' Trust (CST) has strongly criticized the plan to play on Christmas Eve, deeming the schedule "unacceptable" and calling for a reversal of the decision.

The next round of fixtures will commence on Friday, October 27, with a late kick-off, featuring league leaders Tottenham Hotspur's visit to Crystal Palace.
