PSG 2-1 Nantes: Parisiens grab eight consecutive win, extend lead at the top

Randal Kolo Muani's late goal helped Paris St Germain beat Nantes 2-1 on Saturday, giving them their eighth straight Ligue 1 victory and extending their lead at the top of the table.

PSG now has 36 points, six more than AS Monaco, who defeated Stade Rennais 2-1. Nice are in third place with 29 points and will host Reims on Sunday.

Bradley Barcola scored his first goal for PSG in the 41st minute after finding space in the six-yard box following a solo run from the left.

Mostafa Mohamed equalized for the visitors from a corner in the 55th minute, capitalizing on some poor defending to head home from close range past goalkeeper Arnau Tenas, who replaced the suspended Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Seven minutes from time, France international Kolo Muani restored PSG's lead by capitalizing on a rebound after a save by Alban Lafont following a set piece.

On Wednesday, Luis Enrique's team travels to Borussia Dortmund in a crucial Champions League Group F match, knowing that a win will guarantee their place in the last 16.
