RC Lens 1-2 Paris Saint-Germain: Barcola strikes late to seal win for PSG

Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 with a 2-1 victory over Lens on Saturday, with Bradley Barcola scoring a dramatic late goal to ensure all three points.
Barcola netted the decisive goal four minutes from time, collecting a pass from Joao Neves on the left side of the box before powering a shot into the top right corner. With the win, PSG maintains their dominant position atop the Ligue 1 standings with 46 points, 10 ahead of second-place Olympique de Marseille, as they prepare to face Strasbourg on Sunday. Lens, in seventh, remain on 27 points.
The match saw an early shock for the visitors as Lens took the lead in the 36th minute. M'Bala Nzola found space at the back post to meet a flicked corner, calmly finishing from close range to put the hosts ahead.
Nzola thought he had doubled Lens' advantage early in the second half when he latched onto a through ball and finished, but his effort was ruled offside.
PSG responded just before the hour mark, with Barcola fighting his way into the penalty area before squaring the ball to an unmarked Fabian Ruiz, who calmly slotted home to level the score at 1-1.
Both teams had late chances, but it was Barcola who struck again in the dying moments to secure PSG’s 14th win of the season and keep them firmly in control of the title race.
