Real Madrid 2-1 Bayern Munich (4-3 agg): Joselu's late brace sends Los Blancos into Champions League Final

Real Madrid secured their spot in the final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley with a thrilling victory over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. Joselu's late brace added to the excitement, ensuring a memorable moment for the ages. Los Blancos' unbeaten streak of 21 games in all competitions further solidified their dominance.

Real Madrid entered this clash with a positive mindset after securing their 36th LaLiga title with a convincing 3-0 victory over Cádiz. On the other hand, Thomas Tuchel's team faced a crucial game that could define their season, following a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Stuttgart in their domestic campaign.

In the magnificent setting of the Bernabéu, Carlo Ancelotti's side started the game brightly and came close to breaking the deadlock. Manuel Neuer made an exceptional double save to divert Vinicius Junior's shot onto the post, before denying Rodrygo on the rebound.

Despite an injury to Serge Gnabry, which required a reshuffle in the lineup, the visitors posed a threat shortly after. Harry Kane almost made a significant impact on the match with a superb first-time volley that narrowly missed the target. However, Andriy Lunin was alert and pushed the ball behind for a corner.

Neuer was once again called into action to make another outstanding save, this time tipping away a powerful effort from Vinícius that seemed destined for the bottom corner. As a result, the teams went into halftime with the score level.

Vinícius continued to cause problems for the Bayern defense down the left-hand side. He provided a dangerous cross to Rodrygo, who unfortunately shot wide under pressure from Eric Dier.

The Bavarians had an opportunity of their own when Kane forced Lunin into another save at his near post. However, the second half mostly saw Real Madrid dominating the game. It appeared inevitable that they would score, with Neuer making two more impressive saves to deny Rodrygo's free-kick and Vinícius' superb individual effort.

Nevertheless, it was Bayern who took the lead thanks to a sensational strike from Davies. The Canadian international received a pass from Kane, cut inside from the left flank, and unleashed an unstoppable shot past Lunin to score his first goal in the UEFA Champions League in remarkable fashion.

Ancelotti's team believed they had quickly equalized when Nacho scored from Luka Modric's corner, but the goal was disallowed as the Real captain had pushed Joshua Kimmich during the play.

In an astonishing turn of events, Neuer, who had been outstanding throughout the match, inexplicably made a mistake in the 88th minute, allowing the hosts to score an equalizer from a weak Vinícius shot. Super-sub Joselu capitalized on the loose ball, sending the Bernabéu into a frenzy.

Remarkably, the Espanyol loanee found the back of the net again in stoppage time, sealing another classic Real comeback with a brilliant instinctive finish from Antonio Rudiger's cross. Initially ruled out for offside, the goal was eventually awarded after VAR intervention.

The jubilant scenes that followed set up a clash with Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium on June 1st, giving Los Blancos the chance to secure their 15th UCL title and extend their record.
