Real Madrid Continues Perfect Start with Comeback Win Against Sociedad

Real Madrid extended its flawless start in the Spanish league with a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Real Sociedad on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Ander Barrenetxea struck early for Sociedad, scoring just five minutes into the match after a cross by Japan forward Takefusa Kubo.

However, Madrid displayed their resilience, with Federico Valverde leveling the score less than a minute into the second half with a powerful one-timer from outside the area. Joselu then secured the go-ahead goal for Madrid in the 60th minute with a header, thanks to a Fran Garcia cross, who had earlier assisted Valverde's goal.

This win marked the fifth consecutive victory for Madrid in the league, keeping them as the only team with a perfect record. They now have a two-point lead over second-place Barcelona, who has won four consecutive matches following an opening draw. Notably, this was the third time this season that Madrid had to come from behind to secure a win, having previously trailed in matches against Almeria and Getafe.

Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged the importance of addressing these early deficits: "The good thing is that we have been able to overcome these early goals, but we have to analyze it and work to try to keep that from happening."

Madrid's newest signing, Jude Bellingham, nearly added to his impressive goal tally, but his close-range header required an acrobatic save by Sociedad goalkeeper Álex Ramiro. In their next outing, Madrid, still missing the injured Vinícius Júnior, will return to the Bernabeu to kick off their Champions League campaign in a group-stage match against Union Berlin.

Sergio Ramos Returns to Sevilla as Fans Show Support in Win Over Las Palmas

After an 18-year gap, veteran defender Sergio Ramos made his return to the club where he began his career as Sevilla secured a 1-0 victory over Las Palmas. Ramos, who started his professional career at Sevilla before moving to rival Real Madrid, played the full match in his return to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

Dodi Lukebakio scored the winning goal for Sevilla in the 71st minute. The victory was a significant boost for Sevilla, lifting them out of the relegation zone after three consecutive league losses to start the season.

Ramos' return was met with mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing disappointment about his recent signing, while others showed their support during the match. "It was very moving to be playing in front of these fans again," said Ramos after the match.

Las Palmas, a promoted team, suffered its third loss in five matches, remaining winless and in the relegation zone. The journey to the mainland from the Canary Islands proved challenging for Las Palmas, as the club had to arrange two separate flights for the trip due to 15 players missing the first flight.

Late Heroics Secure Victory for Getafe Over Osasuna

Nemanja Maksimovic played the hero for Getafe as he scored a late goal in the 86th minute, sealing a 3-2 victory over Osasuna. This win marked Getafe's second victory in three matches.

Mason Greenwood made his debut for Getafe as a late substitute, but the occasion was marred by reports of inappropriate comments from some Osasuna fans when the forward entered the game. Greenwood recently left Manchester United following a criminal investigation into a possible attempted rape, a case that was subsequently closed by prosecutors.

It was the second consecutive league loss for Osasuna, with Fabrizio Angileri receiving a red card for Getafe in stoppage time.
