Real Madrid go top of LaLiga with win over Granada as Rodrygo continues red-hot form

Real Madrid regained the top spot in La Liga with a hard-fought 2-0 triumph over relegation-threatened Granada at the Santiago Bernabéu. The victory extended Los Blancos' impressive unbeaten streak to 13 matches - 11 Wins, 2 Draws. Granada, under new manager Alexander Medina after sacking Paco López following a 3-1 defeat to Alavés, initially held their ground, causing frustration for Real Madrid.

Despite the early struggles, Toni Kroos delivered a sublime pass, setting up Brahim Díaz to calmly finish beyond substitute goalkeeper André Ferreira. While Real broke the deadlock, they continued to face resistance from their determined opponents, resulting in a shortage of clear-cut chances.

Undeterred, Real Madrid maintained patience in their build-up play. As halftime approached, Joselu's powerful strike narrowly missed doubling the lead. The second half saw Real intensify their attacking efforts, eventually yielding a second goal in the 57th minute. Although Ferreira saved Jude Bellingham's initial attempt, Rodrygo capitalized on the rebound, marking his seventh goal in the last five club outings.

Ferreira's impressive saves, including one against Federico Valverde, prevented further goals. The match concluded with Ancelotti's men comfortably securing the win, extending their unbeaten home league run to 12 matches (W10, D2).

Looking ahead, Granada aims to bounce back against Athletic Bilbao, eager for their first league win since late August (D4, L8).
