Real Sociedad 0-2 Real Madrid: Mbappe and Vinicius spot on as Los Blancos defeat hosts

Real Madrid maintained their unbeaten record in the LaLiga season with a 2-0 victory against Real Sociedad, marking the hosts' fourth consecutive home defeat in the topflight, a first occurrence since 2007.
The Reale Arena buzzed with excitement as Real Madrid arrived, and Real Sociedad aimed to capitalize on the vibrant atmosphere in the early moments of the match.
The home team nearly provided their supporters with a reason to celebrate within the first five minutes when Sergio Gomez’s free kick prompted a commendable save from Thibaut Courtois.
It took Madrid 15 minutes to find their rhythm, but once they did, their quality led to a clear opportunity, although Kylian Mbappe’s low left-footed shot was thwarted by the legs of Alex Remiro.
A growing anticipation for the opening goal was palpable, and only the woodwork denied Luka Sucic when his powerful strike from 20 yards struck the inside of the post.
The woodwork proved to be Madrid’s ally once more before halftime, as the crossbar saved them from embarrassment when Sheraldo Becker's shot hit the upright following Sucic’s clever lay-off.
Finally taking the lead, the hosts extended their advantage with a third goal just a minute later, as Dembele capitalized on the rebound after Randal Kolo Muani’s attempt was blocked.
After a brief scare in the first half, Enrique’s team emerged as comfortable victors, now shifting their focus to the UEFA Champions League, with Girona set to visit Paris on Wednesday. Brest will also be in action, making their debut in Europe’s premier club competition against Austrian side Sturm Graz.
Remarkably, just 30 seconds after the restart, the Basque team struck the woodwork for the third time when Sucic made a surging run into the area and unleashed a shot that hit the post.
Sociedad lamented their missed chances shortly before the hour mark when Arda Guler’s powerful shot from the edge of the box was deflected by Gomez's arm within the area.
Vinicius Junior took on the responsibility of the penalty kick, and although Remiro managed to get a hand to the Brazilian's shot, he could only redirect it into the corner of the net.
Soon after, another penalty was awarded when Jon Aramburu brought down Vinicius in the box. This time, it was Mbappe who stepped up to take the penalty, and once again, the outcome was identical, as he sent Remiro the wrong way, effectively sealing the match.
At that moment, Sociedad appeared demoralized, and despite their efforts to regain control of the game, it was already too late.
The evening, however, was dominated by Madrid, whose remarkable unbeaten streak in away league matches now extends to 18 games.
