Rodrygo extends Real Madrid contract to 2028

Real Madrid has extended the contract of Brazilian winger Rodrygo until the 2027-28 season, providing a significant boost to the Spanish club. This news follows the recent contract extension of fellow Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior, who will stay with the club until the 2026-27 season.

Rodrygo, who joined Real Madrid in 2019 at the age of 18 from Brazilian club Santos for a transfer fee of nearly €45 million, is now secured with the club until 2028. During his time at the club, he has made 179 appearances and scored 39 goals, contributing to Real Madrid's success with eight titles, including the Champions League and two La Liga titles.

The 22-year-old winger has been an essential part of Real Madrid's recent achievements and remains a regular starter in the team's lineup. His contract extension underlines the club's commitment to retaining their key players for the foreseeable future.
