Ruud van Nistelrooy pleased with Leicester's win but remains grounded

Ruud van Nistelrooy, aged 48, expressed his satisfaction with a successful debut as Leicester City manager, achieving a 3-1 victory against West Ham United on Tuesday.
However, he acknowledged the considerable work ahead to ensure the team can compete effectively in the Premier League.
The Dutch coach was appointed by Leicester on Friday, taking over from the dismissed Steve Cooper.
Van Nistelrooy's recent tenure at Manchester United concluded after a brief four-game period as interim manager following the departure of Erik ten Hag, during which he had also served as the assistant to his fellow countryman.
"On my third day at the club, it has been quite hectic getting acquainted with everyone," he remarked to the media after Leicester secured their first win in six league outings.
"Everyone contributed to this effort, and while the days were long and busy, it was certainly worthwhile.
"We understand the standards of the Premier League, and we recognize that every match demands our utmost performance. We need to focus on improving our defense, counter-attacking strategies, and ball possession.
"There are numerous areas that require attention, but I am very pleased with the three points," added the former striker for Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Currently, Leicester sits in 15th place in the 20-team league, accumulating 13 points from 14 matches. They are set to face fourth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion at home on Sunday.
