Sabalenka pulls out of Wimbledon due to shoulder injury

Aryna Sabalenka, the third seed, has withdrawn from Wimbledon just before her first match due to a shoulder injury.

As a result, the women's draw will be missing a top contender for the title. Sabalenka was supposed to play against American Emina Bektas, but she has been replaced by Russian lucky loser Erika Andreeva.

Sabalenka expressed her disappointment on Instagram, stating that she did everything possible to prepare, but her shoulder did not improve. She assured her fans that she will come back stronger next year.

This setback comes after Sabalenka struggled with a lower back injury and illness at the French Open.

Despite these challenges, she has proven herself as a consistent player in major tournaments, reaching the semi-finals at Roland Garros and Wimbledon last year, as well as the final of the US Open.
