Sean Dyche expresses disappointment over Everton's mistakes in heavy loss to Manchester United

Everton manager Sean Dyche expressed his disappointment regarding the mistakes that contributed to their 4-0 loss against Manchester United. Both Josh Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford scored two goals each for United during the match.

In his post-match comments, Dyche remarked, "At the beginning of the season, we have been making too many errors, and today was no exception. For the first 32 minutes, I believed we presented ourselves well; we appeared to be a cohesive unit and played effectively, creating opportunities.

"However, one error led to another, and before we knew it, we found ourselves 2-0 down, followed by a third goal immediately after the restart. This is my primary concern. It highlights the importance of maintaining focus at all times, which was evidently lacking today.

"We have made progress in reducing some of the mistakes from earlier in the season, but it remains challenging when faced with such significant individual errors. It is indeed a tough situation.

"This defeat must be set aside quickly. I do not anticipate our team making such a high number of mistakes again. They are experienced in handling these situations, having been part of this club for three to four years.

"Our objective is to break this cycle of performance—striving for improvement, experiencing setbacks, and then aiming for progress again. The next challenge lies in how we respond in the upcoming match. Every game holds significant importance, especially for Everton."
