Serge Aurier joins Galatasaray on loan from Nottingham Forest

Galatasaray announced on Friday that Serge Aurier, the Ivory Coast defender and captain, has made a move from Nottingham Forest to join their team until the season's end.
The hosts of the African Cup of Nations have been guided to the quarter-finals by their talented right-back. This weekend, they will be facing Mali in Bouake.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray has secured the services of the experienced 31-year-old to fill the void left by Sacha Boey, who recently departed for Bayern Munich.
Prior to his move to Galatasaray, Aurier had an impressive career in France, playing for Lens, Toulouse, and Paris Saint-Germain.
In 2017, he made the switch to the Premier League, joining Tottenham, and later signed for Forest in 2022. Additionally, he had a stint with Villarreal in Spain during the 2021/2022 season.
Notably, Aurier was a member of the Ivory Coast team that emerged victorious in the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
Galatasaray, known as Turkey's most successful club, is currently engaged in a fierce battle with their arch-rivals Fenerbahce for the top spot in the Turkish Super Lig.
