Sevilla 3-2 Real Sociedad: En-Nesyri scores twice as hosts edge five-goal thriller

Sevilla received a significant boost in their quest to distance themselves from the relegation zone in La Liga after securing a 3-2 victory against Real Sociedad, who have only managed to win one out of their previous six league matches.
Sevilla started the first half strongly, creating two significant opportunities within a short span of three minutes. Youssef En Nesyri narrowly missed Adria Pedrosa's cross with a powerful header, followed by Isaac Romero seizing on a poor backpass from Umar Sadiq and having his close-range shot saved by Alex Remiro.
The hosts' efforts were rewarded in the 11th minute when En-Nesyri capitalized on a corner clearance, slotting home the rebound after Romero's initial attempt was blocked.
Just two minutes later, Pedrosa assisted En-Nesyri with a strong shot that beat Remiro, extending Sevilla's lead to 2-0.
Real Sociedad gradually improved as the first half progressed, and they managed to pull one back through Andre Silva's penalty in stoppage time after Sergio Ramos was penalized for handball.
Despite Real Sociedad's resilience, Sevilla extended their lead to 3-1 in the second half when Ramos scored with a looping header from Oliver Torres' cross, making up for his earlier penalty concession.
Sevilla's impressive performance continued as they secured back-to-back home wins for the first time under Quique Sanchez Flores. This victory means that they have only suffered one defeat in their last six La Liga matches.
On the other hand, Real failed to secure an equalizer despite Brais Mendez's late direct free-kick. This result adds to their recent struggles in the league, as they have only managed to gather nine points from their last 12 matches.
Their next challenge will be facing Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, which is undoubtedly a daunting task.
