Sevilla sack Diego Alonso after run of two wins in 13 games

Following Saturday's 3-0 loss to Getafe, Sevilla fired former Uruguay coach Diego Alonso as manager, the LaLiga club announced.

Alonso, 48, left Uruguay's national team after the team failed to advance past the group stage at last year's World Cup in Qatar.

He had only two wins at Sevilla, who are 16th in LaLiga, since being appointed in October to replace coach Jose Luis Mendilibar.
