Spurs extend Werner loan deal for 2024/2025 season

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to extend forward Timo Werner's loan from RB Leipzig until the end of next season, the Premier League club confirmed on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old joined the club on loan from the German side in January and became a regular under manager Ange Postecoglou in the second half of last season.

German Werner scored two goals and assisted three times in 13 league games, but he missed Spurs' final two games due to a hamstring strain. The new agreement includes the option to make the deal permanent.

Tottenham finished fifth in the Premier League, qualifying for the Europa League.
