St Pauli 0-1 Bayern Munich: Stunning Musiala strike gives leaders 1-0 win at St Pauli

Bayern Munich won 1-0 at St Pauli on Saturday courtesy to a spectacular 28-metre drive from Jamal Musiala, keeping them unbeaten and opening up a five-point lead in the Bundesliga.
Bayern, fresh from a 1-0 Champions League victory over Benfica thanks to another goal from in-form Musiala, will go into the international break leading in the league standings.
They have 26 points, five more than second-placed RB Leipzig, who were unable to beat Borussia Moenchengladbach in a goalless tie. Eintracht Frankfurt, who host VfB Stuttgart on Sunday, sit third with 17.
The Bavarians held the upper hand at first but were unable to tame the hosts straight away.
Promoted St Pauli appeared confident and eventually got more aggressive, creating a few of opportunities of their own. As the hosts pushed for a goal, Bayern struck.
In the 23rd minute, Germany midfielder Musiala gained possession 30 metres out, took two steps, and unleashed a devastating shot that went in off the crossbar, scoring his fifth league goal.
Despite Bayern's possession of more than 70%, promoted St Pauli proved difficult to break down.
For much of the second half, they gave the visitors little space to generate chances, leaving St Pauli waiting for an opening to attack the Bavarians on the break.
Bayern came close late in the game, with Musiala hitting over the bar and Harry Kane failing to beat the Bochum keeper from close range shortly after.
