Suns extend winning streak to five-games, defeat Warriors 123-115

The Phoenix Suns navigated a challenging game filled with technical fouls, teetering on the edge of a turnover-laden nightmare, yet emerged victorious for their fifth consecutive win.

Kevin Durant notched 32 points, supported by Devin Booker's 25, securing a 123-115 triumph despite nearly squandering a 23-point lead. The Suns, holding an 83-60 advantage in the third quarter, saw the Warriors claw back to 118-115.

Booker's crucial free throws sealed the win, prompting him to emphasize the need for better ball control and defense. Durant and Booker's exceptional free-throw accuracy contrasted with the Warriors' struggles, reflecting in their 7-9 season record.

Chris Paul's ejection, disputed by coach Steve Kerr, added drama as the former Sun returned, ultimately contributing six points and six assists. The Suns paid tribute to Paul, who played a pivotal role in their 2021 NBA Finals run, before the game.

Klay Thompson's 23 points led the Warriors, while Dario Saric and Stephen Curry added 17 and 16, respectively.

The Suns maintained their lead throughout the second half, securing a 16-point cushion into the fourth quarter. The game's unusual dynamics forced both teams to rely on backups, with Vogel reinserting Booker and Durant late to secure the win.

Despite the less-than-ideal finish, coach Frank Vogel expressed pride in the team's overall performance. The Warriors, missing the suspended Draymond Green, will face San Antonio next, while the Suns travel to meet Memphis.
