Despite DeMar DeRozan's jumper putting the Bulls ahead 115-111 in overtime, Phoenix fought back. Keita Bates-Diop's 3-pointer and Nurkic's layup secured the victory for the Suns.

Nurkic had a standout performance, finishing with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and eight assists. Bradley Beal, making his season debut for the Suns after sitting out the first seven games due to a back injury, contributed 13 points in 23 minutes.

Chicago's Nikola Vucevic led their scoring with 26 points, while Zach LaVine and DeRozan each added 22 points. Alex Caruso, known for his defensive skills, made a significant impact off the bench with 19 points, hitting four of five 3-point attempts.

The game featured gritty comebacks from both teams, with the Bulls using a 16-0 run in the third and early fourth quarter to take a lead. However, Phoenix battled back, and the game went into overtime after DeRozan's late layup.

The Suns, now 4-4 for the season, will host the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night, while the Bulls will host Detroit on Sunday night.

Bradley Beal expressed some rustiness in stretches but was glad the team pulled out the win. The Suns are still awaiting the return of Devin Booker, who is recovering from a calf injury.
