Super Falcons midfielder Deborah Abiodun shines in NCAA Women’s Soccer

Deborah Abiodun, the Super Falcons' rising midfield star, has made waves in the NCAA Division I women’s soccer league, representing the University of Pittsburgh. The 21-year-old Nigerian standout earned a spot on the Second Team All-ACC for the second consecutive season, cementing her reputation as a top performer. Despite an early-season injury, Abiodun quickly returned to form, leading her team with four goals in ACC play and helping Pittsburgh close the regular season with a 9-6-3 record.
Her key moments this season included scoring her first goal in a win over Clemson and a stellar brace against Syracuse, where she netted twice off corner kicks. Recognized as a PNC Achiever of the Week, the Ibadan-born player is also celebrated for her achievements back home, where she began her career with Rivers Angels FC before earning a full scholarship to Pitt.
