Thunder Extend Perfect Start, Defeat Clippers 105-92 for Sixth Straight Win

The Oklahoma City Thunder kept their undefeated season alive, overcoming the Los Angeles Clippers 105-92 to notch their best start since relocating to OKC in 2008. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge with 25 points, while all five Thunder starters contributed double figures, showing impressive depth and cohesion.
For the Clippers, Norman Powell's 24 points and a double-double from James Harden (12 points, 13 rebounds) weren’t enough to avoid their fourth consecutive home loss in their new Intuit Dome. Despite holding double-digit leads in each of these losses, the Clippers fell short as coach Tyronn Lue pulled his starters with over four minutes left, signaling the game was out of reach.
Thunder’s Consistency
Gilgeous-Alexander, emerging as an early MVP candidate, put on a clinic in the second and third quarters, scoring 23 points during that stretch and efficiently slicing through the Clippers’ defense, which Coach Mark Daigneault had praised before the game.
Clippers’ Shooting Woes
Despite a hot start from deep, hitting eight threes in the first quarter, the Clippers cooled off, managing just 18.8% from beyond the arc for the rest of the game.
The Thunder's momentum built as Aaron Wiggins hit a buzzer-beating three to close the third quarter, giving OKC an 81-78 lead. They then scored seven unanswered points to open the fourth, putting the Clippers in a double-digit hole. The Thunder also became the first team at Intuit Dome to win after reaching the 100-point mark, honoring the “Lawler’s Law” adage from former Clippers announcer Ralph Lawler.
The Thunder will look to continue their unbeaten streak as they host the Orlando Magic on Monday, while the Clippers aim to turn things around in their ongoing homestand, facing the San Antonio Spurs.
