Tiger Woods target one event per month in 2024

The 15-time major champion, who serves as the host of the tournament benefiting his charity, landed 18th in the 20-player field.
This marked Woods' first appearance since his abrupt withdrawal from the Masters in April, followed by ankle surgery. His cautious approach to competing stems from the aftermath of a severe leg injury sustained in a 2021 car crash. The 47-year-old emphasized a deliberate strategy for the upcoming year, aiming for one tournament per month to allow sufficient recovery and preparation time.
"In my mind, once a month feels like a reasonable pace," Woods shared with Golf Channel. "It grants me a window for recovery and a chance to fine-tune my game. Establishing that rhythm is crucial," he added.
Looking ahead, Woods eagerly anticipated participating in the PNC Championship, set to commence on December 14 in Orlando, where he'll team up with his son, Charlie.
Reflecting on his performance at the Hero World Challenge, Woods admitted feeling a bit "mentally rusty" initially but expressed his elation at the overall outcome. "Each day, I found myself gaining momentum during the rounds. It took a bit to find my footing on the first day, but the second was better, and today, I felt much more in sync," he remarked during a press conference.
Despite acknowledging that his game isn't too far from where he wants it to be, Woods acknowledged the need to improve his physical condition. "While the bone pain has subsided, I'm still following the same rehabilitation protocols. The process is lengthy, especially as one ages," he lamented.
