Titans rally from late 14-point deficit to stun Dolphins 28-27

Derrick Henry's second touchdown of the game tied the score, and Nick Folk kicked the game-winning extra point as the Tennessee Titans rallied from a 14-point deficit late in the fourth quarter to defeat the Miami Dolphins 28-27 on Monday night in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Tennessee (5-8) won on the road for the first time in seven attempts this season, scoring 15 points in the final three minutes. For the Titans, Will Levis completed 23 of 38 passes for 327 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while DeAndre Hopkins had seven receptions for 124 yards and a receiving touchdown.

Harold Landry had three sacks, including one on Tua Tagovailoa of Miami on fourth-and-2 with 20 seconds left to seal the victory.

Raheem Mostert of the Miami Dolphins rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a 60-second span in the fourth quarter. Tagovailoa completed 23 of 33 passes for 240 yards, and Zach Sieler scored on an interception return for the Dolphins (9-4), who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.

Tyreek Hill, Miami's star receiver, missed the second quarter as well as parts of the first and third quarters due to a left ankle injury. He had four receptions for 61 yards.

Two big Tennessee mistakes helped the Dolphins build what appeared to be a comfortable fourth-quarter lead.

First, Eric Garror of the Titans attempted to field a bouncing punt and muffed it on his own 11-yard line. Elijah Campbell of Miami recovered at the 7. With 5:34 remaining in the game, Mostert scored from 3 yards out to give the Dolphins a 20-13 lead.

On Tennessee's next offensive play, Levis threw a high, errant pass that Henry couldn't catch, and Bradley Chubb recovered for the Dolphins at the Titans' 12. With 4:34 remaining, Mostert scored from the 5 to extend the lead to 27-13.

After allowing two touchdowns in a minute to fall behind by 14 points with 4:34 remaining, the Titans drove 75 yards in nine plays, culminating with Levis' 3-yard scoring pass to Hopkins with 2:40 remaining. Levis then hit a two-point pass to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to cut Tennessee's lead to 27-21.

With 2:15 remaining, the Titans' defense held and handed the ball back to the offense. Tennessee moved 64 yards in four plays, with Henry scoring from three yards out with 1:49 remaining. Folk's extra point put the Titans ahead, and Miami's final chance was thwarted by the defense.
