Tottenham 3-2 Brentford: Spurs come from behind to win fiesty London derby

Tottenham Hotspur clinched their fourth successive victory at home in the Premier League (PL) as they rallied from a one-goal deficit to narrowly defeat Brentford in an exhilarating match that saw a total of five goals.
Brentford's game plan was evident from the beginning as they aimed to exploit the space behind Tottenham's high defensive line. Their strategy seemed to be working perfectly when Mads Roerslev scored, but unfortunately, it was disallowed due to an offside infringement.
However, the visitors didn't let this setback deter them, and they soon took an early lead. Ivan Toney's shot was saved, but Neal Maupay was in the right position to put the rebound into the net.
Tottenham, after conceding the first goal at home in a Premier League game for only the second time this season, tried to respond quickly. Timo Werner and Richarlison both had attempts on goal, with the latter's strike narrowly missing the target.
Unable to find an equalizer in the first half, Ange Postecoglou made a double substitution at halftime, bringing on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Brennan Johnson.
This change had an immediate impact as Tottenham made a strong start to the second half. Destiny Udogie and Johnson both scored within a minute of each other, turning the tide of the match in Tottenham's favor. Udogie found the back of the net on his second attempt, while Johnson tapped in a low cross from Werner.
With Brentford struggling, Tottenham continued their dominance and added a third goal through Richarlison, who confidently finished past the goalkeeper to increase his tally to eight league goals this season.
After a disastrous beginning to the second half, the Bees were presented with an opportunity to get back into the game when Toney capitalized on Udogie's unfortunate backpass to score his second goal since coming back from an eight-month suspension.
Luckily for the left-back, his mistake didn't result in significant consequences, as Brentford couldn't find the equalizer despite intensifying their pressure during stoppage time.
The defeat drops the Bees to 15th place after experiencing their fifth consecutive loss in away league matches, while Spurs ascend to the top-four position.
