Transfer Watch - Man United reach deal to sign £64m Chelsea target

Manchester United has reportedly come to a preliminary agreement with Napoli forward Victor Osimhen in anticipation of the upcoming summer transfer window, as per Italian sources.
Osimhen is nearing the end of his loan with Galatasaray, where he has netted 30 goals in 35 matches this season.
The Nigerian striker is on track to secure both the Turkish league and cup titles, with Galatasaray currently leading Fenerbahce by five points in the Super Lig and set to face either Trabzonspor or Goztepe in the Turkish Cup final next month.
Last summer, Osimhen nearly transferred to Chelsea, but the Premier League club could not finalize a deal with Napoli. Manchester United has also been monitoring Osimhen's status at Napoli, even before it was evident that he would depart the Serie A team.
Reports has that United remains interested in Osimhen and is actively pursuing a potential agreement for the summer transfer window.
The report indicates that United has established a preliminary agreement with Osimhen regarding his salary, although a transfer fee with Napoli has yet to be settled.
The 26-year-old has a €75m (£64.2m) release clause in his Napoli contract, which can only be activated by clubs outside of Serie A. Reflecting on his future last month, Osimhen stated, 'I play for one of the best teams in Turkey and the world.
I have a deep love and respect for this club. I am very content here, and my family is as well. My life is stable here. The club's success is my top priority, not transfers.
Galatasaray is eager to secure Osimhen on a permanent basis, but they acknowledge that they are up against stiff competition from five other European clubs.
'Osimhen will communicate his decision to us in April,' stated Abdullah Kavukcu, Galatasaray's vice-president, during a press conference in March.
'Currently, the top five clubs globally have expressed interest in him.
'Osimhen's signing was a dream realized. He is now with us and actively playing. In January, there were discussions about his potential departure, but he chose to remain because of his affection for Galatasaray. Today, he is the player that all our competitors desire.'
