Tyrrell Hatton wins first LIV Golf title at Nashville

Tyrrell Hatton of England showcased an impressive performance in the final round of LIV Golf Nashville, carding a remarkable six-under par 65.

This victory marks his first title since joining the Saudi-backed series in January. Hatton finished with a total score of 19-under 194 after 54 holes at The Grove, securing a six-stroke victory over his compatriot Sam Horsfeld.

Throughout the tournament, Hatton displayed his skill with eight birdies and two bogeys, including three birdies in the last five holes.

Notable players in the third-place pack, finishing at 12-under, were Joaquin Niemann from Chile, Jon Rahm from Spain, Lee Westwood from England, and Bryson DeChambeau from the United States, who recently clinched his second major title at the US Open.

This win is particularly significant for Hatton as it marks his first professional title since the Abu Dhabi Championship in January 2021, adding to his impressive record of six DP World Tour triumphs.

While Hatton's sole victory on the US PGA Tour came at the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational, he continues to excel in the LIV Golf season.

Currently, Niemann leads the overall season standings, followed by Rahm, with Hatton securing the third position.

In the team competition, Hatton and Rahm led Legion XIII to victory, finishing at 40-under par and surpassing DeChambeau's Crushers by five strokes.

The Crushers remain in a close second place in the season team standings, just ahead of Legion. The upcoming LIV Golf event will take place in Spain at Valderrama from July 12-14.
