UCL: Gabriel Jesus Steers Arsenal to Win over Sevilla

Arsenal secures the top spot in Group B of the UEFA Champions League with a narrow 2-1 away victory over Sevilla, thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli in the 22nd minute and Gabriel Jesus in the 26th minute.

Gabriel Jesus took center stage with a brilliant goal and assist, guiding Arsenal to a 2-1 victory against Sevilla, asserting control in the Champions League Group B.

The Brazilian forward orchestrated Gabriel Martinelli's debut Champions League goal just before halftime. Jesus then outshone himself with an exquisite curling strike in the second half, extending Arsenal's lead to 2-0.

Sevilla narrowed Arsenal's lead as Nemanja Gudelj headed home from a corner in the 60th minute. Despite relentless pressure from Sevilla in the charged atmosphere of the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, Arsenal's lead was preserved until the final whistle, thanks in part to several remarkable saves by the much-criticized David Raya, including one in the dying moments of the match.

With Arsenal's victory and Lens' draw with PSV Eindhoven, the Gunners now hold a four-point advantage over the third-placed team in the group. Arsenal can secure a spot in the knockout stages by defeating Sevilla in their next match on November 8, provided Lens prevails over PSV on the same night.

The only downside for Arsenal on this successful night was Jesus exiting the game with a hamstring injury with 10 minutes remaining.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his concerns: "He felt something in his hamstring, so we will see. Gabi is not a player who does that at all, so we have to wait and see in the next few days."
