Udinese 0-2 Juventus: Juventus gets back to winning ways, moves to Third in Serie A

Juventus returned to winning form with a 2-0 victory over Udinese, aided by some favorable bounces off the post. An own goal from Udinese’s goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and a strike from Nicolò Savona, both off the same right post, handed Juventus only their second win in six matches. With this win, Juventus climbed to third in Serie A, four points behind Napoli, who play Atalanta on Sunday.
Juventus took the lead in the 20th minute after Khéphren Thuram’s skillful run into the box. His shot hit the inside of the right post, deflecting off Okoye to give Juve the lead. This would have been Thuram’s first Serie A goal but was ruled an own goal.
Juventus doubled their lead in the 37th minute. After Kenan Yildiz’s deflected shot hit the same post, Savona pounced on the rebound to score.
Udinese attempted a comeback, with Keinan Davis scoring early in the second half, but the goal was immediately disallowed for a push on Juventus defender Federico Gatti.
