USA beat Internationals to secure 10th consecutive Presidents Cup

This week marked Bradley's first appearance in a team event in a decade. Although he missed several putts that could have clinched the Presidents Cup in the final holes, he ultimately secured the decisive point when Kim failed to convert an eight-foot birdie putt on the par-four 18th hole.
"They made the captain's job incredibly straightforward, and these players truly gave their all this week, particularly excelling on the back nine," remarked US captain Jim Furyk.
The United States required 4.5 points from 12 singles matches, and victories by Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, and Patrick Cantlay, along with a half-point from Sam Burns, set the stage for U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. He secured a 1-up victory over Tom Kim, while five other matches were still in progress.
This week marked Bradley's first appearance in a team event in a decade. Although he missed crucial putts to secure the Presidents Cup in the final two holes, he clinched the decisive point when Kim failed to convert an eight-foot birdie putt at the par-four 18th hole.
"It's like a fairy tale; it feels almost cinematic," Bradley remarked. "I can hardly believe it. You just have to put in the hard work, and good things will follow."
While the International team dominated Friday's session to level the score at 5-5, the Americans established an 11-7 lead on Saturday, leaving their opponents needing 8.5 of the remaining 12 points to claim the cup—a feat that has never been accomplished in the history of the event.
The U.S. team, comprised of golfers all ranked within the top 25 globally, including five in the top 10, took an early lead and maintained their advantage, even as the Internationals mounted a late challenge in several matches.
Jim Furyk sent Schauffele out first, and the world number two recorded five birdies on the front nine, achieving a 4&3 victory over Australian Jason Day, thus securing the first point for the U.S. on that day.
"My objective was to set the tone and get a red mark on the board as soon as possible, and I was able to accomplish that," Schauffele stated.
Burns and South Korea's Tom Kim then played to the first tie of the week, before Henley secured a 3&2 victory over Im Sung-Jae, never trailing in his match.
Japan's Hideki Matsuyama earned the first full point for the International team in the session, birdieing three of his last five holes to win 1-up against Scottie Scheffler.
Although Canadian Corey Conners added another point with a 5&3 victory over Tony Finau, it proved insufficient, as Cantlay, who won 3&1 against Taylor Pendrith, and Bradley had already established a commanding lead in their respective matches.
