VfL Wolfsburg 1-1 Borussia Dortmund: Wolfsburg and Dortmund share spoils as Dortmund stay fourth

Borussia Dortmund and hosts VfL Wolfsburg drew 1-1 on Saturday, leaving the visitors fourth in the Bundesliga, five points behind third-placed VfB Stuttgart.
Dortmund took the lead after Wolfsburg defenders failed to clear a Marco Reus shot, and keeper Koen Casteels pushed it into the path of Niclas Fuellkrug, who stabbed it over the line.
Wolfsburg's Kevin Behrens had two chances in first-half stoppage time, one of which hit the woodwork, but Yannick Gerhardt equalised in the 64th minute by nodding in from close range.
The game was repeatedly interrupted by spectators throwing tennis balls onto the pitch as part of an ongoing fan protest against a planned foreign investment in the Bundesliga.
Dortmund have 41 points, four ahead of RB Leipzig in fifth place and five behind Stuttgart, who won 2-1 at Darmstadt 98 despite playing with 10 men for the entire second half.
