Victor Osimhen prefers a move to MLS than SPL

Victor Osimhen's preference lies in a potential move to the MLS, even if it means playing alongside the legendary Lionel Messi, rather than opting for a transfer to the Saudi Pro League, where he had been linked with Al-Hilal.

During the summer, Al-Hilal, a club in the Saudi Pro League, had shown interest in acquiring the Nigerian striker. However, Napoli, keen to retain their talismanic goal-scorer after securing the Scudetto in the 2022-23 season, rejected their offer.

Osimhen's contract with Napoli is set to expire in 2025, fueling ongoing speculations about his future.

In a recent Twitch interview with Emiliano Viviano and former Italian forward Mario Balotelli, Osimhen was asked to choose between the MLS and the Saudi Pro League. He expressed, "If I had the same conditions, I would go to MLS.

"Nevertheless, Osimhen did acknowledge the Saudi Pro League's positive trajectory since the acquisition of Cristiano Ronaldo and their high-profile summer signings, including 2022 Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema and Brazilian forward Neymar Jr.

He remarked, "They are trying to develop their league, which is good. One of the greatest of all time, Ronaldo, has joined them, and his influence has attracted many talented players to the league. They are making commendable efforts to elevate their league to one of the best. I think they are doing something remarkable.

"Following a narrow 1-0 victory over Union Berlin in the Champions League, Napoli is gearing up for their upcoming Serie A fixture against AC Milan on Sunday.
