Vincent Kompany to demand aggression and bravery from Bayern Munich players

Bayern Munich's new coach Vincent Kompany (38) has revealed his vision for the team, emphasizing the importance of absolute aggression and bravery from his players.

Belgian Kompany recently signed a contract until 2027 after parting ways with Burnley due to their relegation from the Premier League.

Despite Bayern finishing third in the Bundesliga last season, behind Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart, they aim to reclaim their dominance in the upcoming season.

Kompany's coaching philosophy is deeply rooted in his personal experiences, stating, "What you coach is who you are as a person. I want the players to embody my upbringing on the streets of Brussels and the winning mentality instilled in me at Anderlecht."

With his Bundesliga background and fluency in German, Kompany is set to lead Bayern to success after the departure of former coach Thomas Tuchel.

His message to the team is clear: "I expect the players to be bold and decisive on the ball, showing aggression and character throughout every minute of the game."

Throughout his relatively brief tenure as a manager, Kompany, renowned for his 360 appearances for Manchester City and his four Premier League titles, has established himself as a proponent of an attacking and possession-oriented style of football.

Initially, he embarked on his coaching journey at Anderlecht, a Belgian club, before making a move to Burnley in 2022. His tactical approach proved fruitful in the second-tier Championship, leading to their promotion with seven matches remaining.

Nevertheless, Burnley's unwavering commitment to employing the same style against more formidable opponents in the Premier League proved to be a challenge, resulting in their struggles in the topflight.

Ultimately, they were relegated after finishing 19th, accumulating a mere 24 points and securing only five victories throughout the season.
