Wales appoint former captain Craig Bellamy as new head coach

The former Manchester City forward has agreed to a four-year contract that will keep him in charge until 2028.
During his playing career, Bellamy appeared in more than 400 Premier League matches and played for the Welsh national team 78 times, serving as captain from 2007 to 2010.
After retiring from playing, he was involved in Burnley's coaching staff and also worked with Cardiff's academy and Wales' under-21 squad.
Bellamy expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead his country, calling it the proudest moment of his career. He stated that becoming the Cymru Head Coach had always been his ultimate dream and that he is prepared for the challenge.
He also pledged his full commitment to developing the team and expressed his passion for bringing continued success to Welsh football.
Bellamy's first match in charge will be against Turkey on September 6th in the UEFA Nations League.
