West Indies’ Joseph set to return from suspension while Russell remains out for T20 series

West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph is set to return for the third Twenty20 International against England after completing a two-match suspension. However, all-rounder Andre Russell will be absent from Thursday's match due to an ankle injury.

Joseph's suspension followed an incident in which he left the field in a dispute with captain Shai Hope during the third One Day International against England in Bridgetown.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced, "Alzarri Joseph, having served his two-match suspension, will rejoin the squad in Saint Lucia for the critical final segment of the series, taking the place of Shamar Joseph."

The West Indies secured a 2-1 victory in the ODI series but have faced challenges in the ongoing five-match T20 series, losing the first two encounters against Jos Buttler's team.

The team will again be without the seasoned all-rounder Russell, who suffered a left ankle sprain during the opening T20 match in Barbados on Saturday.

Russell, who was also sidelined for the second match, will be replaced in the squad by all-rounder Shamar Springer.

The remaining three T20 matches are scheduled to take place in Saint Lucia.

West Indies T20I Squad: Rovman Powell (captain), Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shimron Hetmyer, Terrance Hinds, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Nicholas Pooran, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, Shamar Springer.
