Wolves 0-1 Bournemouth: Semenyo strike enough for 10-man Cherries to beat hosts

Wolverhampton Wanderers' winless streak in the Premier League extended to six games as they suffered a 1-0 loss against AFC Bournemouth at Molineux. On the other hand, the Cherries ended their three-match winless run with this victory.

During the first half, the visitors dominated the game. Antoine Semenyo's early attempt forced Wolverhampton's goalkeeper, Jose Sa, to make a save, and Marcos Senesi's header hit the top of the crossbar.

Milos Kerkez and Justin Kluivert also tested Sa with two impressive shots, but it was Semenyo who eventually broke the deadlock. He scored his eighth goal of the season after the ball deflected off Max Kilman, giving Bournemouth the lead at halftime.

Wolves had a chance to equalize when Pablo Sarabia's curling effort was saved by Mark Travers, but overall, they were outplayed by their opponents.

In the second half, Bournemouth threatened to extend their lead. Kluivert redirected Senesi's shot towards goal, forcing Sa to make another save. Semenyo also had a shot that narrowly missed the target, and Senesi missed a golden opportunity to score.

Wolves thought they had equalized when Hee-Chan Hwang headed in Nelson Semedo's cross, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul in the build-up.

Bournemouth's task became more challenging when Kerkez was shown a red card for a reckless challenge on Matt Doherty. However, they managed to hold on to their lead and secure the important victory, despite 10 minutes of stoppage time. Kilman's late goal was ruled out for offside.

With this win, Bournemouth climbed into the top half of the table, while Wolves remain in 12th place after suffering their fourth consecutive home defeat.
